Professional Master's Economics & Finance - Modular Class

As determined by Government Agencies, the classes of the current classes of the Professional Master are being taught remotely, for an indefinite period.
The selection process for the next class has open enrollment. Until there is a determination to return the activities in person, it is expected that the classes of the new class will be taught remotely.

The format of the new Concentrated Modular Panel already allows the ease of study mediated by technologies, thus respecting the current definition of the authorities.

About the Program

The Professional Master's in Economics and Finance (MFEE) offered by FGV EPGE is a highly qualified stricto sensu graduate program that aims to provide a solid and in-depth training, through the application of the most modern theories of economics and finance to current issues of the financial market, business organization, economic policies and related areas.

- Flexibility to combine professional and master's life:

The modular program is structured in concentrated meetings and with complementary online activities, in order to make it possible for participants who live and work outside the city of Rio de Janeiro to complete the course with the minimum possible travel. To this end, the program has a fixed calendar previously released so that the student can organize his professional and personal agenda, in order to reconcile it with the master's.

Data Science Innovation:

The creation of disciplines that use frontier techniques in Data Science to solve economic problems. This is necessary due to the growing demand for professionals with a background in economics who are able to apply advanced techniques for decision-making in data-driven business.

Program Structure

The course has a maximum duration of 2 (two) years divided into academic cycles. The cycles are divided into online and face-to-face modules. The compulsory subjects will be taken every 2 months concentrated in 1 week in classroom classes. Elective and tutoring classes will be online during the in-class classes

The program will have a fixed calendar previously announced so that the student can organize his professional and personal agenda, in order to reconcile it with the master's.

To obtain a master's degree, the student must fulfill all the requirements of the course in a maximum of 24 months.

The student must take 5 subjects of the basic cycle: Mathematics, Macroeconomics, Statistics, Microeconomics and Econometrics. For the specialization cycle, you must choose the line of research and take 3 mandatory subjects in this line. For electives, you must attend a total of at least 198 hours of online courses. For the cycle of Orientation to the dissertation, 90 hours of reading, preparation and presentation of the dissertation must be completed at the end of the course.
